Bring a beach chair and beach friendly beverage to enjoy the sunset by the Gulf.

Beer Tasting

This very popular monthly activity is held in a member's home. Guests each bring a beer selected for the theme of the month and an appetizer to share. The beers are tasted as a group and discussed. Participants enjoy a social get together while being exposed to Beers from all over the world.

Book Club

Meetings are held monthly to discuss selected books of current interest.

Breakfast Adventures

Discover new locally-owned hot spots to start your day with a group of friends.

Dining Adventures

Visit new or favorite restaurants throughout the year. Members enjoy a relaxed social occasion while experiencing a variety of cuisines.

Games

Fun and games are offered throughout the month including: Bridge, Euchre, Hand and Foot, Mah-Jong, Mexican Train/Dominoes, Pinochle, Poker, Rummikub, and Threes to Kings.

General Meeting - All Members Picnic and Elections

There is only one general members meeting scheduled each year for the purpose of board member elections.

Golf + Dine

A weekly event for all levels of golfers is held at various area courses. Dinner for players and their spouse/partner takes place that evening at a local restaurant.

Happy Hour

A free format social time for food and beverages in a reserved dining space.

Neighborhood Socials

Neighborhood Socials are a great way to meet your neighborhood members in a smaller gathering within your own zip code. Socials typically take place on the 1st Sunday of the month, provided we have hosts. Bring a casserole, hearty appetizer, or dessert to share and your beverage of choice.

Real Florida / Cultural Events

You never know what's going to be offered next, but it will be uniquely Florida. Performing arts, museums, Ringling Circus, regional artists, kayaking, guided walks, snorkeling, distillery tours, rodeo, dancing, air boat tours, eco-tours... the possibilities are endless.

Special Events

The special events vary each year. They may include a golf tournament, holiday party, dances, mystery train ride and casino night.

R.O.M.E.O.

R.O.M.E.O. (Retired Outstanding Men Eating Out) meets monthly at different local restaurants for good food and conversation.

Note: Men may not be retired. ;)

J.U.L.I.E.T.

J.U.L.I.E.T. (Just Us Ladies Interacting and Exploring Together) meets monthly for different activities including classes, local restaurants, museums and conversation.

Spirit Tasting

This rotating spirit event is an opportunity for those who enjoy spirits to gather with new and old friends and try something new.

Sports Activities

In addition to Golf, sports activities include Bike Rides, Trail Walkers on the third Saturday each month and Pickleball on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Sunset Picnic

Catered picnics are held monthly at a local beach. The social hour and sunsets are a favorite part of this activity.

Venice Newcomers Singles

In addition to ALL general club events, special activities to meet and mix are planned for Newcomers Singles such as breakfasts, dinners, happy hours, house parties, movie nights, game nights, and bike rides.

Welcome Reception

All new members are invited to a Welcome Reception hosted by the Membership Committee where all the Club's activities and events are explained. These receptions are given at various times of the year and are by invitation only.

Wine Tasting

The wines are tasted as a group and discussed. Participants enjoy a social get together while being exposed to wines from all over the world.

Widows or Widowers

Events for getting together socially and supportively for our members who have lost their spouses or partners by death. VNC has joined the existing NOVA WOW group for those of our members that would like to meet with like-minded people.
